French giants Lyon have reignited their interest in Montpellier midfielder Morgan Sanson, Le 10 Sport has learned.
Les Gones first expressed their interest in the 22-year-old footballer a while back, and they have now decided to act.
According to reports, Lyon plan to make Sanson their first signing for the 2017/2018 season, and they will soon open talks with the midfielder’s current employers.
Montpellier are reportedly holding out for €10 million, and it remains to be seen whether the two clubs will be able to reach an agreement.
Sanson did well to get his career back on track after a difficult knee injury and he has been in excellent form at the start of the new season.
The attacking midfielder has managed two goals and as many assists in first 8 Ligue 1 fixtures, which is a very good return considering that Montpellier only won one of those games.
