Lyon’s Brazilian midfielder Ederson is ill and will miss Wednesday night’s French Cup clash at home to Marseille, the reigning seven-time French league champions said on Tuesday.

Ederson fell ill at the end of last week and, though he has begun training again, is not fit enough to play in the Gerland stadium last 32 fixture.

However Brazilian freekick specialist Juninho and Swedish midfielder Kim Kallstrom, both absent from the weekend’s 6-0 thrashing of fourth-tier Concarneau in a postponed last 64 match, return to Claude Puel’s squad.
