According to a recent report from Sky Sports, there is an agreement in place between Leicester City and James Maddison over a potential four-year contract for the 23-year-old.
While there has been no official paperwork produced as of yet, it does appear as if Maddison will be extending his stay with the Foxes until at least 2024.
His current deal has three years left to run, but the new contract features a considerable pay rise. The belief is that this is being done to ward off Manchester United, but there are still some questions being raised over whether or not he can return to his best form when he comes back from injury.
It’s been a tough few months for him but when he comes back, he’ll still be able to feature in some kind of European competition after Leicester were able to qualify for the UEFA Europa League next season.
