On Sunday night, Real Madrid, lost their first match of the season. Sevilla handed the `Galacticos` a 2-1 defeat at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan stadium.
Without Cristiano Ronaldo, who suffered from an ankle injury, Madrid lost their top position in the Primera Division to Barcelona. Manuel Pellegrini, the Chilean coach of Real thought Sevilla was the better side on Sunday.
`We went head to head but Sevilla is in a great form and they deserved the win although, in the end, we had some great chances to level the score,’ Pellegrini said after the match.
‘I believe the game was lost because of defensive errors. I’m worried that they got two headers against us from players that are a lot shorter.’
Pellegrini stays confident, despite the painful loss against Sevilla. `It`s important to be at the top of the league, this early in the season.’
‘Sevilla are, just like us, three points behind Barcelona, but what happens in the future, won`t be decided by this result,` concluded Pellegrini.
