Spanish media outlet Don Balon claims that Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid are keeping close tabs on Bayern Munich playmaker Thiago Alcantara.
The Spanish footballer has been repeatedly linked with a summer exit from Allianz Arena, and a return to Spanish La Liga could be on the cards.
According to reports, both Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid have been in contact with the player’s father and agent Mazinho, although it is believed that Thiago hopes to move back to Barcelona.
Alternatively, the central midfielder would like to be reunited with Pep Guardiola at Etihad Stadium, but the problem is that Bayern Munich don’t seem prepared to sell their prized asset.
Having joined in a €25 million deal from Barcelona, Thiago proved one of the best signings in club’s recent history, going on to produce 22 goals and 24 assists in 142 competitive appearances.
