Dutch midfielder Hedwiges Maduro says he is hoping to finally end his spell at Sevilla in the January transfer window.
The 28-year-old was not named among 25 players registered for this year’s La Liga, and has only featured in one Europa League qualifying match this season.
As a result, the experienced midfielder is desperate to leave Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan in the winter, citing Germany, England and Netherlands as his preferred destinations.
“Ideally, I want to go to a country where the competition is at a high level,” Maduro told TV station Sport 1.
“Germany, England, but also the Netherlands. I am open. I won’t say no in advance to club from the Netherlands.”
Hedwiges Maduro came through the youth ranks at Ajax and went on to make 70 league appearances for the Amsterdammers, scoring 9 goals in the process.
He then joined Valencia in January 2008 and featured in a total of 76 La Liga matches for los Che.
Maduro left the Mestalla outfit in the summer of 2012 to sign for Sevilla on a free transfer, but that turned out to be a very poor decision.
