Wolfsburg coach Felix Magath has hit back at Simon Kjaer following the defender’s recent comments.
Kjaer said has no intention of returning to the Bundesliga side as long as the 58-year-old is in charge, a comment that has upset Magath.
The Denmark international spent the 2011-12 campaign on loan at Roma, and has set his sights on a permanent move to the Serie A side as he is desperate to leave Wolfsburg due to his bad relationship with Magath.
Nevertheless, both clubs have yet to reach an agreement over a transfer and Kjaer is expected to resume training with the German outfit this week.
“Kjaer has a contract with Wolfsburg, not with me,” Magath told Bild.
“There are professionals whose comments would be a bit more clever in situations like this.”
The 23-year-old’s contract with Wolfsburg expires in the summer of 2014.
