Schalke manager Felix Magath say he cannot wait for the Bundesliga season to re-commence following the winter break.
Magath watched his side struggle in the early parts of the campaign, but three consecutive wins have lifted the Gelsenkirchen club to 10th in the table.
Pleased with his side’s recent form, Magath has taken the squad to Turkey to train in Belek before they return to Bundesliga action against Hamburg on Saturday.
“Well, if you had the end to the first leg of the season like we had and you won the last (three) matches, of course you couldn’t wait to start again,” Magath said.
“We can’t wait to seal the next victory, because that would also mean we catch up with the HSV in the league table. And that is a great chance to start the come back chase.”
Magath also said Jefferson Farfan’s discipline will ‘not be a topic for me anymore’ but confirmed the Peruvian had been warned over his conduct.
Farfan turned up late for the training camp in Turkey and is believed to want to leave the club, but Magath says he has no issues with the former PSV Eindhoven winger.
