Sheffield Wednesday have completed the signing of Burton Albion winger Jacques Maghoma on a two-year deal.
The Hillsborough outfit fended off competition from a host of Championship clubs for Maghoma’s signature and he will join upon the expiry of his current contract.
Maghoma moved to Burton in 2009 after starting his career as a youth-team player at Premier League side Tottenham and now becomes manager Dave Jones’ first signing of the off-season.
The 25-year-old was named in the League Two Team of the Year last season after an impressive return of 18 goals from the wing.
And the Democratic Republic of Congo international is itching to get started.
“This is a massive move for me and having walked into the stadium, I can’t wait to get started,” Maghoma told the club’s official website.
“I really enjoyed my four years at Burton but the time is right for me to move onto the next stage of my career and this is it.
“I am a very ambitious player, I always work hard on my game from the left and from the right and I always want to improve.
“I am very confident I will do that at Sheffield Wednesday.”
