Leicester City’s Riyad Mahrez has revealed his future is undecided at the moment, according to Sky Sports journalist Rob Dorsett.
The attacking midfielder was the key figure of the Foxes’ unexpected run to the Premier League title in 2015/16 and was even named PFA Player of the Year for that season. He has been linked with leaving the King Power Stadium ever since. Barcelona, Arsenal and Liverpool have all been continuously linked with Mahrez, but the strongest interest came in January this year from Manchester City.
The Algeria international has now revealed he had submitted his transfer request at the time because a significant offer came from the Etihad. However, he says the request has been withdrawn since.
But the 27-year-old, who has so far played for Leicester 176 times in all competitions and scored 46 goals, cannot say he’s certain he will stay at the club come the summer transfer window.
