French daily newspaper L’Equipe understands that Leicester City hotshot Riyad Mahrez has set his sights on a summer move to Arsenal.
The Foxes manager Claudio Ranieri is adamant they will not sell the Algerian, but everything will change if the winger requests a transfer.
According to L’Equipe, he is ready to do so in the light of the latest offer from Arsenal, believed to be worth around €50 million.
Mahrez is reportedly eager to join the North London side despite seeing his teammate Jamie Vardy earlier reject a switch to the Emirates.
The potential arrival of Mahrez would certainly ease the pressure on the Gunners manager Arsene Wenger, who continues to be criticised for the failure to attract big name signings to the club.
Riyad Mahrez was voted the Premier League Player of the Season last term, as he scored 17 goals and produced 11 assists in 37 league outings for the Foxes.
