Makelele makes thing clear at PSG

Paris Saint-Germain Claude Makelele has given the strongest hint yet that he will call time on his playing career at the end of this season, despite PSG attempting to persuade him to continue.

“Things are clear in my mind,” said the 36-year-old, who joined PSG from Chelsea last summer. “My contract states that I should play one season, and perhaps a second.

“I’m considering more and more retiring, but the club really wants me to continue. So we’re having talks. I have told the club that the most important thing for me was to finish things off well with PSG.”
