According to Sky Sport Italy, Málaga and Benfica have shown interest in acquiring Inter Milan’s Gabriel Barbosa, also known as Gabigol.
After long speculation that the Brazilian forward was close to a deal with Sporting CP, it appears as if talks between Inter and the Portuguese club have broken down.
The disagreement between the clubs on the amount of money Inter wants for the 20-year-old Gabigol has opened the doors for other clubs to try and obtain him.
Since arriving at Inter in 2016, Gabigol has been vocal about the lack of playing time with the nerazzurri as he featured in only 10 games total last season.
Both teams would greatly benefit from Gabigol’s talent in the final third of the pitch, as he hopes more playing time away from Italy will help him to regain his form he had at Santos.
La Liga and Portugal’s Liga NOS would be great tests for Gabigol to try and revive his career, and it will be interesting to see if the Brazilian will make the move away from Inter this transfer window.
