Malaga approach Valencia over Nemanja Maksimovic loan

Serbian international midfielder Nemanja Maksimovic has struggled to break into the Valencia first team this term.

Having joined Los Che as their first signing of the summer from Astana, the 22-year-old has been pushed down the pecking order behind Geoffrey Kondogbia and Daniel Parejo.

Maksimovic is not even the third pick for manager Marcelino Garcia Toral who is turning to Carlos Soler in case any of his two first-choice central midfielders are unavailable for selection.

The World Cup winner with Serbia U-20 is widely expected to leave the club this winter in order to kickstart his career and improve his chances of being called for the World Cup in Russia next year.

The Spanish media outlet Marca can reveal that La Liga strugglers Malaga have already approached the Spanish hot-shots Valencia over a possible loan deal for Maksimovic until the end of the season.

Maksimovic managed only 4 La Liga appearances for Valencia this season.
