Malaga eyeing John Guidetti

La Liga side Malaga are showing interest in Manchester City striker John Guidetti, reports Marca.

The Citizens boss yesterday confirmed that the Swedish forward would be farmed out on loan in the January window, with Dutch Eredivisie being mentioned as his most likely destination.

Nevertheless, Marca has revealed that Malaga are also keen on recruiting the 21-year-old attacker.

With starting striker Mounir El Hamdaoui still on the sidelines and his recovery not going according to plan, los Boquerones are eager to add a new forward in January.

Malaga believe John Guidetti would be an asset at La Rosaleda once he improves his match fitness and are hoping a good relationship with Manuel Pellegrini will help them win the chase for the player’s signature.

The Swede has only recently returned from an 18-month spell on the sidelines and is hoping to revive his career by enjoying regular playing time until the end of the season.
