Malaga have been showing interest in Barcelona midfielder Ibrahim Afellay, according to El Mundo Deportivo.
The Dutch midfielder has returned to Camp Nou from a loan spell at Schalke, but it is perfectly clear he has no future at the club.
El Mundo Deportivo reports that Malaga boss Bernd Schuster believes the player still has a lot to offer and is looking to lure him to La Rosaleda.
The 27-year-old has another two years left on his deal with the Catalans, but it is believe the club officials will not stand in his way should he express a desire to leave.
Malaga are in desperate need of midfield reinforcements after Isco, Toulalan and Joaquin all left and they believe Afellay would be a great addition to the squad.
With his career at Camp Nou plagued by numerous injuries, the Netherlands international has only made 20 La Liga appearances for Barcelona.
