Malaga are planning a January bid for Porto defender Nicolas Otamendi, A Bola has revealed.
The La Liga outfit are flying high at the moment following the heavy summer spending and club chiefs are already indentifying new targets.
Despite signing Joris Mathijsen and Martin Demichelis, Malaga want to add some more steel to the back line and are now hot on the trail of Porto’s Nicolas Otamendi.
The 23-year-old has been in impressive form for Porto since arriving to Dragao last summer and is already being tipped to leave the Portuguese giants for a bigger club.
In addition to helping his side keep opposition strikers at bay, Otamendi has been a real threat for the opposing defenders as well, scoring 6 goals in 19 league games for the Dragons.
According to A Bola, Malaga are really keen on the 23-year-old, but they could face stiff competition from Roma, with the Serie A side also showing interest.
