Marca is reporting that Malaga would consider selling star forward Julio Baptista in the summer transfer window.
With the club in serious financial problems and banned from playing in Europe, the main objective is to lower the hefty wage bill.
Manuel Iturra and Joaquin have already left the club, while Martin Demichelis and Javier Saviola are expected to follow.
However, one of the highest earners Julio Baptista is still at La Rosaleda and his €2.5 million yearly wage is proving to be a problem.
It is for that reason that los Boquerones are considering selling their prized asset in the summer, with a number of Brazilian sides showing interest in the player’s services.
Julio Baptista has recovered well from a 16-month spell on the sidelines and he has been in fine form in the second part of the season.
The 31-year-old managed to score 4 goals in 14 La Liga matches this season, while he also started four Champions League fixtures.
