Malaga star ready to snub Tottenham in January?

Tottenham may well be in excellent form at the moment, but they are still looking to improve their squad in January.

However, the Metro is reporting today that they could be set to miss out on one of their main transfer targets.

Malaga have revealed that midfielder Isco – highly-rated and wanted by many top European clubs – has a clause in his contract which could alert Tottenham.

With a £17m buy-out clause available as early as January, Tottenham could be tempted to make a move for the 20-year-old.

There is a stumbling block though – Isco himself isn’t keen on a move to White Hart Lane.

Despite the clause in his contract, the Spaniard has revealed that he is more than happy at Malaga.

The La Liga club are flying at the moment of course with memorable performances domestically and in the Champions League.

Isco has been a major part of these and wants to continue to be so, certainly for the remainder of the current campaign.

Asked about being linked with a move away, he simply said: “I just have my mind in Malaga.”

He also seems very modest, saying that he is only being linked with top European clubs because of a couple of good performances.

There is no doubt that he has a massive future ahead of him though and Tottenham would love to see him in North London at some point.

Whether that is in January, we will have to wait and see.
