Malaga’s Antunes linked with Premiership move

Portuguese newspaper A Bola has learned that a number of Europe’s top sides are showing interest in Malaga defender Vitorino Antunes.

The 26-year-old initially joined los Boquerones on loan from Pacos de Ferreira, before completing a permanent move this summer.

However, having largely impressed in 27 La Liga appearances, Antunes is already being linked with a move away from the club.

According to A Bola, the Portugal international has suitors from England, Russia and Turkey, and could easily be leaving his current employers in January.

Even though the full-back has a contract until 2017, chances are that Malaga will be ready to listen to offers due to club’s dismal financial situation.

Los Boquerones have been on a major downtrend of late as they are currently situated in the La Liga danger zone.

Malaga face newly promoted Elche on the road in their next league fixture, and they are 23/10 to claim maximum points.
