Mamadou Sakho to move clubs in January

French daily newspaper L’Equipe claims that Liverpool plan to offload defender Mamadou Sakho at the earliest opportunity.

The France international was dropped from the first team squad after an altercation with manager Jurgen Klopp and he has been told to search for a new club.

A return to Ligue 1 appears to be a realistic opportunity as there are several clubs keen on Sakho, including his boyhood club Paris Saint-Germain.

The Saints are short of options in the heart of defence after selling David Luiz to Chelsea, and they could make a move on their former star.

West Bromwich Albion, AC Milan and Inter Milan are some of the other sides showing interest in Sakho, who should be available at a knock-down price in January.

The 26-year-old didn’t quite manage to prove his worth at Anfield, despite making 56 Premier League appearances and scoring 2 goals.
