Manchester City resume their Champions League campaign with a home game against rock bottom and pointless Viktoria Plzen on Wednesday evening.
And with the Citizens putting no less than 18 goals past Norwich, CSKA Moscow and Tottenham in their last three home fixtures, the Czech side have every reason to fear the trip to Etihad.
Having recorded a 6-0 triumph over top 4 hopefuls Tottenham Hotspur, nobody would be surprised if Manuel Pellegrini’s side repeat the feat against Plzen, with City just 6/1 to score six goals or more.
After recording a 3-0 victory in the first match in Plzen, the Citizens also look a good bet to win the match to nil, at odds of 10/11.
Chances are that Manuel Pellegrini will use the midweek game to rest some of his key men ahead of the Swansea clash, but the likes of Edin Dzeko, James Milner and Samir Nasri should be very motivated to prove they deserve to be playing on regular basis.
The Citizens may have secured their place in the knockout stages, but a victory would see them remain in contention for the first place in the group, especially if Bayern Munich fail to triumph in Moscow.
And even if team’s dismal away form remains the number one issue, I have no doubts Manchester City will use this opportunity to record another resounding home win.
