Portuguese daily newspaper A Bola understands that Manchester City and Juventus lead the chase for Sporting CP hotshot William Carvalho.
The Portugal international has been linked with quite a few top clubs in the past, but some of his suitors have cooled off their interest of late.
Nevertheless, Manchester City and Juventus are still keen on his services and they could make their moves in the summer transfer window.
The Citizens appear to have the upper hand at the moment due to the fact that Pep Guardiola’s brother is one of the player’s representatives, although Juventus can offer the midfielder an opportunity to fight for major honours in Italy and Europe.
The two clubs are hoping that Sporting CP will consider selling their prized asset at the end of the season, although it is perfectly clear he will not be available on the cheap due to his long-term contract.
