Having played a major role in Bayer Leverkusen’s unbeaten run to the first-ever Bundesliga title last season, Florian Wirtz has attracted plenty of interest from around Europe.
Manchester City are currently putting in a strong effort to sign Wirtz as their need to secure long-term successor for Kevin De Bruyne grows, according to Sky in Germany, and the same source claims the Premier League champions face strong competition from Bayern Munich. Meanwhile, Goal.com are reporting that Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid want the Germany international as well.
The 21-year-old attacking midfielder continues to impress for Leverkusen this term. In nine appearances across all competitions so far, he has four goals and an assists to his name. At the end of the season, his contract at the BayArena will still have two years left to run.
Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester United are believed to be monitoring the situation as well.
