Premier League giants Manchester City have been showing interest in Palmeiras defender Yerry Mina, Mundo Deportivo has suggested.
The Colombian has become one of the most sought-after footballers in South America, and Barcelona have already managed to secure the first option on the 22-year-old.
The Catalans can purchase Mina for €9 million next summer, or they can pay €10 million a year later or €12 million in the summer of 2019, but Manchester City are not yet ready to give up.
Pep Guardiola believes his side are in desperate need of defensive reinforcements and he could soon be stepping up his interest in the Colombia starlet.
Yerry Mina has impressed since joining Palmeiras from Santa Fe, scoring 4 goals in 10 league outings, while he has also become a regular starter for the Colombia national team.
The talented centre-back started the last two World Cup qualifiers for los Cafeteros and scored his first goal in the 2-2 draw with Uruguay.
