The Daily Mail is reporting that Manchester City have joined the chase to sign Swansea striker Fernando Llorente.
Chelsea were the first top club to try and sign the Spaniard in the January transfer window, but the Swans were not ready to negotiate the sale.
Llorente has since continued with excellent performances, scoring his 9th goal of the campaign in the 3-1 loss to the Blues and it appears that Manchester City are now in the mix as well.
Pep Guardiola believes that the Spaniard would add a new dimension to the attack at Etihad Stadium as his current options up front Sergio Aguero, Gabriel Jesus and Kelechi Iheanacho all feature similar characteristics.
Even though he had had a slow start to his career in England, Llorente eventually managed to prove his worth and he has now scored 8 goals in his last 14 Premier League appearances for the bottom table side.
