Premier League giants Manchester City are close to agreeing a deal for Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Sky Sports has learned.
The Citizens have already secured the signature of Ilkay Gundogan and they could now add his former teammate to their ranks.
According to Sky Sports, Man City are in talks with Borussia Dortmund over a transfer fee and they are expected to close the deal in the coming weeks.
Aubameyang has been one of Europe’s most prolific strikers in the last couple of years, and he impressed to score 39 competitive goals last season.
Real Madrid were believed to be leading the chase for his services, but it would appear as though the Gabonese forward will end up at Etihad Stadium after all.
New manager Pep Guardiola is also thought to be hot on the trail of Aymeric Laporte and John Stones, as he hopes to seriously reinforce the squad ahead of the new season.
