The Metro understands that Manchester City are set to turn to Tottenham Hotspur’s Danny Rose as they look to fulfil their quota for home grown players for next season.
The reigning Premier League champions are set for a big squad overhaul this summer as they look to challenge for the title next season, with the chances of them defending the trophy this time around rapidly decreasing.
A number of English players have been linked with a move to the Etihad Stadium in recent months, with Jack Wilshere, Jordan Henderson, Raheem Sterling and Aaron Creswell all on the club’s radar.
Rose moved to White Hart Lane from Leeds United in the summer of 2007, and has racked up just eighty-nine appearances in all competitions though he has spent much of his time away from the club out on loan.
The 24 year old had spells with Watford, Peterborough United and Bristol City before spending the whole of the 2012/13 campaign at Sunderland.
