Fiorentina’s Stevan Jovetic could be joining Manchester City next summer as the two parties are close to agreeing a pre-contract agreement, that’s according to Talk Sport.
Although Roberto Mancini added Javi Garcia, Scott Sinclair, Maicon and Jack Rodwell in the summer transfer window- he is already looking to bringing in new faces next year.
It is thought that Fiorentina’s star man has an agreement with the club and promised the members of the board that he would play for them in Serie A for another season, but then he wants to move on.
The 22-year-old was the subject of plenty of transfer speculation during the closed season, with European Champions Chelsea also keen on bring him to the English Premier League as they look to challenge for the title.
Roberto Di Matteo is still keeping tabs on Jovetic, but Mancini may have acted at the perfect time and could secure his services at this very early stage.
There is no doubt that the Montenegro international is a fantastic talent that would be a great addition to the Citizens squad.
It is certainly a fascinating story to keep an eye on and a deal could be done fairly soon, even though the move is months away.
