The Sunday Mirror are today reporting that Manchester City are mulling over making a shock move for Swansea winger Scott Sinclair.
Sinclair, who competed for Team GB at this summer’s Olympic games was one of the main men in helping the Swans into an eleventh place finish in the English Premier League last season.
He scored eight goals in the league and made 38 appearances. These performances seem to have got him noticed by the current Champions.
The Citizens could be keen on the winger with his raw pace and eye for goal. It is thought that if Roberto Mancini did make a move for the Englishman, then Adam Johnson may be on his way out of the Ethiad Stadium.
It is also being suggested that Mancini could lure Sinclair over to Manchester with a very attractive contract offer, trebling what he is on at the moment at the Welsh side.
The 23-year-old has attracted the attention of a few English clubs in this summer’s transfer window. However, City’s finical power could see them secure his services.
Swansea are sure to fight tooth and nail to keep their star man at the Liberty Stadium, will they be able to though?
We shall see.
