Premier League giants Manchester City have taken a keen interest in Benfica goalkeeper Ederson Moraes, according to A Bola.
The 22-year-old only recently established himself as a first team regular at Estadio da Luz, but he has already done enough to catch the eye of top European clubs.
After he was named in Carlos Dunga’s Brazil squad for the 2016 Copa America Centenario, Ederson received more good news as new Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is reportedly determined to bring him to Etihad Stadium.
The Catalan coach likes goalkeepers who possess decent technical skills and that is one of the reasons why he is showing interest in the Benfica starlet.
Guardiola doesn’t think that Joe Hart should remain the number one goalkeeper at Etihad and Ederson is among players who are tipped to replace him.
The talented shot-stopper has spent his entire career up to date in Portugal, playing for Ribeirao, Rio Ave and Benfica.
