Premier League leaders Manchester City have had a mega money offer rejected for Monaco starlet Kylian Mbappe, according to L’Equipe.
The 17-year-old has already shown a great deal of potential and he was heavily linked with a big club move in the summer transfer window.
L’Equipe now claims that Manchester City submitted a €40 million bid for the youngster’s services, but Monaco decided to reject the proposal.
The Principality club clearly believes that Mbappe can develop into a world-class footballer and coach Leonardo Jardim has been giving the talented forward a decent number of first team opportunities.
After scoring once in 11 Ligue 1 appearances last term, the forward was in the starting line-up as Monaco shared spoils with Guingamp on the opening day of the new campaign, but, unfortunately had to come off with injury.
Mbappe has been the star performer for France Under-19 side, bagging 5 goals in last 4 appearances.
