The Guardian has suggested that English giants Manchester City are considering a summer move for Real Madrid full-back Marcelo.
With both Gael Clichy and Aleksandar Kolarov failing to impress, new coach Pep Guardiola plans to recruit a world-class left-back in the summer transfer window.
Considering that Bayern are highly unlikely to let David Alaba leave, the Spanish coach has turned his attention to Marcelo.
The Brazilian has impressed playing for Real Madrid and Guardiola believes he would be a very good addition to the squad at Etihad Stadium.
However, luring the 27-year-old away from los Blancos is not going to be an easy task given that he is held in high regard at Santiago Bernabeu and also has a contract until June 2020.
Marcelo has spent last nine years at Real Madrid, making 253 La Liga appearances and scoring 19 goals in the process.
