Bayern Munich versatile defender David Alaba is a target for Manchester City as Pep Guardiola eyes the player he worked with for three years during his time in Germany.
According to reports from The Sun, Premier League outfit have already opened talks with Bundesliga giants over the possible summer transfer to Etihad with multiple meetings between two sides thought to have been held over the last couple of weeks.
Pep Guardiola is fairly confident of landing the 24-year-old left-back as Manchester City are prepared to double the Austrian international’s current $75,000 a week wages.
The talented defender who could be and has been used in midfield, predominantly with his national team, is believed to be worth around £40 million, which is the sum Manchester City will have to fork out to land the Bayern Munich star.
