Manchester City are preparing a final offer to send to Tottenham Hotspur for Harry Kane this week, according to The Telegraph.
This saga has taken the central stage in the Premier League this summer. The champions were left without the services of Sergio Aguero at the end of last season, and it seems manager Pep Guardiola doesn’t trust Gabriel Jesus sufficiently to make him the main man upfront. He has often used a system without a recognized striker to great success in recent past, and his team put five past Norwich City on Saturday even without a player like Kane.
Nonetheless, City reportedly offered £100 million for the England captain earlier in the summer and saw the bid rejected straight away. Spurs chairman Daniel Levy has made it perfectly clear he has no intention of letting Kane, who has three years remaining on his contract, leave. Recent reports claimed City were willing to offer bonuses on top their previous offer to take the final amount to close to £130m, but even that isn’t likely to change Levy’s mind.
