Man City prepare Haaland push

According to a recent report from Sky Sports, Manchester City are ready to trigger Erling Haaland’s current release clause.

City have been leading the charge to try and sign Haaland for months now and his release clause, which is currently set at €75 million, means that we’re unlikely to see Borussia Dortmund keep hold of him.

Karim Adeyemi is being lined up to replace Haaland by Dortmund with the majority of fans resigning themselves to the fact that he’ll be leaving.

City have been wanting to secure a natural goalscorer for a long time with Harry Kane once being their primary target.

Alas, with Haaland turning 22 this summer, he’s likely to have many more years in him at the elite level.

Pep Guardiola has already been able to assemble one of the best teams in world football across the last few years. If he can land Haaland, they may well become unstoppable.
