Premier League giants Manchester City are hot on the trail of Real Madrid midfielder Isco, according to AS.
The talented footballer is nearing the end of his contract at Santiago Bernabeu that is due to expire in June 2018, and he is currently considering his options.
AS has learned that Manchester City are ready to offer Isco an escape route from Madrid, as Pep Guardiola is a big fan of his qualities.
The Catalan coach is aware that a January transfer is unlikely and he hopes he will be able to bring Isco to Etihad Stadium at the end of the season.
The 24-year-old would prefer to remain at Estadio Santiago Bernabeu, but he will wait until the end of the season to see whether his status in the squad will improve.
In case head coach Zinedine Zidane fails to show Isco the respect he deserves, the attacking midfielder will consider leaving los Blancos for greener pastures.
