Manchester City defender Micah Richards is confident striker Carlos Tevez will stay at the club at least until the end of the season.
Tevez is desperate to leave Eastlands and handed in a transfer request last week.
City boss Roberto Mancini reportedly held talks with Tevez last night as he is keen to keep the Argentine at the club.
Richards said: “I’m sure we can keep Carlos until the end of the season at least.
“We’re doing well in the league and we finished top of our group in Europe. It’s going well for us and he’s a big part of what we’re trying to do.
“If you ask anyone, they will tell you that. I think they will get it sorted out and the sooner, the better.”
“Carlos has been just the same. He’s got his opinions and stuff. He’s a bubbly character, always laughing and joking in training,” continued Richards.
“I don’t think it’s anything to do with Man City to be honest. He’s said previously that he’s tired and stuff like that.
“He made his debut when he was 15 or 16 and I think he’s missing his family back home.”
