Manchester City could enter the race to sign Jack Grealish from Aston Villa this summer if Bayern Munich meet their demands for Leroy Sane, according to The Telegraph.
Villa are currently locked in a fierce relegation battle and plenty of eyes have turned towards their 24-year-old captain, interested to see what he can do to help his team stay up; particularly those of Manchester United. Reports linking Grealish with United have been popping up fairly frequently throughout the season, but it seems their city rivals could step into the fray.
Sane’s contribution to Pep Guardiola’s team this season hasn’t been great. He missed a large chunk of it due to a serious knee injury, but having various attacking options at his disposal is what the former Barcelona and Bayern Munich boss has been known for since arriving to the Etihad four years ago. It is only to be expected that if Sane goes to Bayern this summer, the Catalan tactician would want of bring in another player who can do the job attacking down the left flank.
Ahead of the League Cup final, played between City and Villa, Guardiola described Grealish as ‘one of the best in the league’.
