Man City to offer Cancelo for Inter centre-back

This was a story we have heard a few times in the past couple of months: Manchester City seriously need to reinforce their defence – Man City seriously need to sign a centre-back – Man City are interested in Milan Skriniar. And then there were reports going around that the still current champions of England in the end did make an offer for the Slovakian centre-back who plays for Inter Milan.

According to reports in Italy, after Inter decided to reject the initial bid, which was reportedly around 65 million euros, Man City are now prepared to improve. And it is not just about the money – City are ready to offer one player alongside it, to sweeten the deal for the Serie A outfit.

Reportedly, that player is Joao Cancelo. The full-back has failed to convince Pep Guardiola that he is his ideal solution at right-back and thus Man City could use him as a tool to lower the asking price for Skriniar.
