Man City to offer €70m for Sporting CP duo

Manchester City are readying a mega money offer for Sporting CP hotshots Gelson Martins and William Carvalho, according to Record.

The Citizens intend to revamp the playing squad over the summer and they have been keeping close tabs on the Lions starlets for quite some time.

Record now claims they are ready to make their move and offer a combined €70 million for the two midfielders.

However, that may not prove enough to lure Gelson Martins and William Carvalho to Etihad Stadium as they are valued at €50 million and €40 million respectively by Sporting CP chairman Bruno de Carvalho.

Pep Guardiola has clearly set his sights on rejuvenating his ageing squad as witnessed by the captures of Leroy Sane, John Stones, Gabriel Jesus and Raheem Sterling, and he hopes to add the Sporting CP duo to said list.
