Man City want Dantas

According to Record, Manchester City are believed to be in the driving seat when it comes to the chase for Benfica midfielder Tiago Dantas. The teenage sensation has been turning heads over in Portugal this season, and the Premier League champions have been keeping a keen eye on how he develops.

Since Pep Guardiola has come into the club City seem to be more focused on going after young and hungry stars, in order to mix them with their current crop of world class talent. At the age of 17, Dantas has an awfully long time left to develop and become an even bigger and better star.

His contract is set to expire next summer and it seems as if City will be able to pick him up for a reasonable price, although if he continues his current trajectory, then Benfica may well add a good few millions onto his asking price – and who could blame them.
