Premier League holders Manchester City are keeping close tabs on Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette, according to Le 10 Sport.
The Citizens had been alerted of the forward’s potential earlier this season and they had scouts present as les Gones defeated Lens in a Coupe de France match yesterday evening.
With both Sergio Aguero and Edin Dzeko sidelined through injury, Manchester City may decide to sign another striker in January, and Lacazette clearly appears to be high on their wish list.
The 23-year-old has been in scintillating form this season, bagging impressive 20 goals in 25 competitive outings.
Being also a Stade Gerland graduate, Lacazette is considered an indispensable member of the squad and chairman Jean-Michel Aulas is adamant he is not for sale.
Nevertheless, with Lyon going through serious financial difficulty, it is more than clear they would be unable to resist a big money bid for their star footballer.
