Man City’s Bentancur bid rejected

According to a recent report from Corriere dello Sport, Manchester City’s bid to sign Juventus star Rodrigo Bentancur was rejected during the summer transfer window. Alas, despite this, City are still intent on going after him during the January window and potentially even beyond if they can’t get their way.

The midfielder has been a source of intrigue for Pep Guardiola for quite some time now, or so it seems, but he hasn’t quite been able to get his way. More often than not when City go after a player they’ll get him, but Juve have remained firm – until now.

City rarely give up without a fight and with that in mind, it seems like just a matter of time until they get their man.

Given hwo crowded things have been within Juventus’ ranks as of late, it makes all the sense in the world for Bentancur to consider his options.
