Premier League giants Manchester United and French super club PSG were alerted this weekend as one of the greatest players of all time, Cristiano Ronaldo, asked Real Madrid to put him up for sale for €100m, according to the Daily Record.
The Portuguese international is 32-years old now, and may have just one more big move before his career comes to an end. By his own lofty standards, Ronaldo has actually had quite a disappointing La Liga season thus far. With just four goals in 12 appearances, the winger’s lack of goal contributions has been one of the reasons for Los Blancos’ struggles.
Real currently sit 14 points behind rivals Barcelona, and it seems highly unlikely that they will be able to secure the league title this season, especially with Ronaldo not at his best.
Both PSG and Manchester United would be reportedly be interested in securing the legendary player’s services, and the pull of a romantic return to Old Trafford might be something appealing for Ronaldo as one final challenge.
