Premier League giants Manchester United have been linked with a number of high profile players in the summer as manager Jose Mourinho plans to make a statement in order to help catch up with their eternal rivals Manchester City.
One man on the Red Devils’ shopping list to help them do that is Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos, according to the Guardian, who has established himself as one of Europe’s top players in his position during his fourth season with Los Blancos.
The German international has won a La Liga title and two Champions League during that spell, but this season Zinedine Zidane’s side have been struggling mightily. Real currently sit fourth in the table, a whopping 17 points behind their eternal rivals Barcelona, and could even struggle to finish in a Champions League spot.
Despite their struggles Kroos has registered four goals and four assists in 19 league appearances, and his addition to the Manchester United squad would be a surefire way to get them back to challenging City at the top.
