According to Bild, Manchester United and Arsenal are both interested in signing teenager Arne Maier. The 19 year old, who only turned professional for Hertha Berlin last year, has been turning heads courtesy of some solid performances over in Germany. He represents one of the many top teenage talents currently coming through the ranks of European football, with more youngsters than ever before staking their claim for a big money move.
Maier has been heavily compared to Toni Kroos, both in his build up play and how well he’s able to pass the ball. Of course, making comparisons isn’t always the best thing to do courtesy of the pressure it heaps onto the shoulders of the player in question, but Maier seems to have a cool head and a fantastic playing ability to go alongside it.
Barcelona are also said to be interested in signing him, as the speculation over his future continues.
