All of the talk on social media over the course of the last 18 hours or so has been about Manchester United legend Paul Scholes. The Englishman, at the age of 44, ran the show during Vincent Kompany’s testimonial match at the Etihad last night – and also produced a moment of magic in the form of a sensational pass.
United supporters have been raving about his performance, to the point where many of them have said that they believe he could legitimately make his way back into the starting XI for the club.
The Red Devils have had a poor start to the campaign and yet even with that being the case, it certainly seems like an unlikely possibility.
They also said the same thing about Michael Carrick, but the demand definitely seems to be greater for Scholes.
A testimonial match can’t tell us all too much, but Scholes certainly proved that he’s still got a magic touch.
