Manchester United are interested in signing Denzel Dumfries from Inter Milan this summer, according to Sky Sports.
Recent reports have suggested that Erik ten Hag, who is due to take control of the team at United at the end of the season, is unhappy with the options for the fullback positions currently in the squad and has requested signings for both defensive flanks. It is believed that he wants Tyrell Malacia from Feyenoord on the left, and having tried but failed to convince Ajax right-back Noussair Mazraoui to join him at Old Trafford, he now wants Dumfries.
The 26-year-old Dutch international is under contract with Inter until 2025, and given the quality he’s shown since arriving to replace Achraf Hakimi last summer, the reigning Serie A champions won’t be too keen on letting him leave, and they’re likely to ask for much more than the €13.5 million they reportedly paid to sign him from PSV Eindhoven.
