Man United keen on Porto duo
Manchester United are keeping close tabs on FC Porto defenders Danilo and Alex Sandro, according to A Bola.
The Red Devils are short of option on both flanks, with Patrice Evra widely tipped to leave and Rafael the only recognized right-back in the squad.
And it appears Manchester United plan to solve the issue by recruiting FC Porto full-backs Danilo and Alex Sandro.
The Premiership giants watched the two footballers in weekend’s match between Vitoria Guimaraes and Porto, which is enough to suggest they are seriously thinking about luring the duo to Old Trafford.
Right-back Danilo, 22, joined the club from Santos and went on to feature in 55 league matches, scoring 4 goals in the process.
Meanwhile, left-sided defender Alex Sandro, 23, also arrived from Santos, some six months earlier than his teammate, and currently has one goal in 45 league appearances.
Pjanic in fresh PSG link
La Gazzetta dello Sport understands that Paris Saint-Germain are stepping up their efforts to recruit Roma star Miralem Pjanic.
PSG boss Laurent Blanc recently confirmed his interest in signing the Bosnian playmaker and it appears the French giants are set to make a concrete move in the coming weeks.
Pjanic attended yesterday’s Ligue 1 match between Paris Saint-Germain and Marseille, thus adding fuel to speculations linking him with a move to PSG.
The Saints attempted to sign the 23-year-old in January, but were in turn put off by the €55 million asking price.
Miralem Pjanic has been in scintillating form this season, having managed 4 goals and 5 assists in 25 Serie A outings.
AS Roma suffered a huge blow to their title ambitions as they were held to a goalless draw by Inter, but the Giallorossi are 15/8 to return to winning ways against Napoli.
Schalke eyeing Cedric Soares
Portuguese newspaper A Bola is reporting that Schalke are weighing up a summer move on Sporting Lisbon defender Cedric Soares.
The Bundesliga side have watched the talented full-back on several occasions this season and they are keen to add him to their ranks come end of the campaign.
Schalke hope they can persuade Sporting president Bruno de Carvalho to cash in on his prized asset in the summer transfer window.
The 22-year-old was born in Gelsenkirchen, but he left Germany at an early age and has been at Sporting since 1998.
After coming through the club’s youth academy, Cedric went on to make 35 league appearances for the senior side and even earned his first national team call up in October last year.
The highly rated right-back has a contract until June 2016 at Estadio Jose Alvalade and a €30 million release clause.
